Hi, after some days of testing, it seems that my touchpad is finally working fine :) .

I've added other options to the configuration file above:

Option "FingerLoW" "35"
Option "HorizHysteresis" "50"
Option "VertHysteresis" "50"


You can set the "FingerHigh" option too.

You can't reload the touchpad module (as I wrote in the previous message, my mistake), but you have to restart X or reboot your computer.

Hi Ben - I am  also using DELL LATITUDE E 7440 and have been experiencing/ getting frustrated with the the two issues. Touchpad desynchronization and Repeated keyboard events. I have windows 7 Enterprise on my machine.Please let me know if you found any resolution.
