I recently gave it in one repairing shop who say themselves as a partner of dell...they told me to replace the whole motherboard which cost me around 10,500 with 3 months warranty, but after a week I again got the same problem. And this time the screen got blank for a minute and then automatically got on and a message appeared-"display driver AMD has stopped working and got automatically got recovered".

when I addressed the same to the repair center ,they didn't address my problem and on further inquiry about the motherboard they asked me to take my old motherboard back , which was very rude:emotion-12:

can you please tell me the exact issue...

He told me the same ..but he said that he will replace my motherboard with a Intel motherboard with intel graphic card..but if it is so then after the change... the intel video driver should get installed without any problem, but when I tried to install the intel driver , it generated an error code as "System doesn't meet the minimum hardware requirement for it."

Then I tried installing my AMD ATI radeon video driver and it got successfully installed.

I still have the warranty but the service person is not interested  in helping me any further in it, as I inquiry him for each and everything.

But I guess, as a customer I do have the rights to know everything about it,( as per Right to Information( RTI )act.)

Hi,

I also own the Dell Laptop N5010.

I did faced the similar issue that you have faced.

The main problem is with the graphics chip located on the motherboard. This chip is not working properly.

Currently you are facing "display driver AMD has stopped working and got automatically got recovered" issue.. ''

You will see that when you play games or do any graphics intensive work you will face the issue more often.

The repair service you did from Dell which costed 11k,, did that include a warranty extension??

Just call up Dell technical support 18004254026.

Lodge your problem through the Customer support online and then they will send the service technician with the part to your home directly..

No need to go to the service center..

Thank you SAYAMROY...

But it will be more helpful if u can just send me the link of the customer support online.

I tried calling the tech support but its too too difficult to get at least any one of them to address the query.

Brother through online customer support it will be much more difficult as if you send them email today..when they will reply god knows..

Just call the customer care no that I have given and then enter your "express service code" when asked.. automatically you will be taken to Inspiron support queue...hold your nerve till you get a CC executive talking to you..once you get it..everything will be sorted out very easily..
