2005FPW, Windows 8.1 compatibility

Question

Hello, I recently upgraded my OS to Windows 8.1 and now my computer will not recognize my monitor. I went out to Dell's driver download page for monitors, but they do not include my model (2005FPW) in the list. I searched on my model and found drivers for XP and 2000 but nothing later and certainly not Windows 8.1. Does this mean I can no longer use this monitor (which is still in perfect working order, by the way)? Or is there something I'm overlooking here? Thanks!

Even though not supported, Windows 8.1 should at least identify the monitor as Generic PNP in the Device Manager. What does your Device Manager show?

Thank you for replying, Chris. My DM shows 'Generic PnP Monitor' and says that it is working properly.
