Hello,

This series of videos was created for 7.5 and 2008r2 but should still be valid for what you're doing today:

Thanks, Andrew.

Hi Andrew, I do have vWorkspace environment that consists of 2 Dell 630 2u servers installed with Hyper-v cluster, all vWorkspace management are VMs hosted on these two servers. 2 Brokers, 2 App Servers, 2 Web Servers , 2 User Profile Servers and 2 Clusteres SQL servers hosts the vWorkspace Databases.

I want to maintain Load Balancing of the Web/User Profile and App Servers, how this can be achieved?

In your videos you've mentioned only how to install vWorkspace on NLB servers without specifying how the NLB was configured as per the best practices.

We are in the final stage of this implementation and I would like to verif all the setup is redundant without any clutches and ready to tested and host production users.

I would highly appreciate if you could give your recommendations.

Regards,

Hi,

I just set up an similiar Environment, please have a look here

In regards to UPM: you need two UPM Servers plus a shared folder for hosting the profiles..

In the UPM configuration, create a Storage Server for each UPM Server AND a third one, pointing to a DNS Name that resolves the load balanced IP of the two UPM Servers. When creating the Silo, specify the load balanced storage Server.

Update; the document attached to the referenced blog post has been updated and now includes screenshots and instructions how to load Balance UPM.

Hi, thanks for your reply... Does this also applies to Windows 2012 NLB? Or this applies only to ZEN NLB?

The load balancing product being used shouldn't matter as this Service is invincible to Clients and the Server side.

Build on our partnership with KEMP we are currently working to get documentation on how to set up LoadMaster for vWorkspace. I expect that there has nothing to be changed on the backend if we replace ZEN with KEMP or NLB or any other product, once the system is configured properly.

We are in the process of finalizing a deployment guide with the vWorkspace team.  Hope to have an update for you in the next few weeks.

I'm also in the process or processing LM4000 hardware appliance x2 for our infrastructure.. I think this will be great by the time of starting the implementation the Kemp document is ready so I can start the configuration.

Thanks,
