UP2414Q and X-rite Calibration software

Question

I recently bought a UP2414Q for processing photographs.  As instructed, I purchased the X-rite i1 Display Pro to complete the calibration process. I am unsure whether to install the software that came with the X-rite device.  The monitor's own calibration software is installed and it allowed me to do the basic calibration process.  However, I am unsure whether all features are now available, or if some are missing and may be added by installation of the X-rite software.  I do not want to install the X-rite software if it is not needed or may cause conflict with the Dell software already installed with the monitor.  Please advise.
