This is under investigation. Again, this does not effect the monitor functionality. It only applies if we decide to do a firmware update which may never occur.
Thanks for the clarification. I really think some kind of fix would be in order. That aside, had it not been for this post I'd still be in the dark.
Please don't be offended by this suggestion: before reading this post I spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support. The rep finally came to the same conclusion as you, but it was a colossal waste of his time. Perhaps you guys could issue an internal bulletin to save your support folks time; and your customers from wondering if they have a defective product. This is a suggestion and no criticism should be implied.
A consumer bulletin would be cool, but I suppose it would have to be balanced against avoiding giving the impression you sell defective hardware. You dont. This is my first experience with a Dell monitor. It probably won't be my last.

All,
This does not effect the monitor functionality. It only applies if we decide to do a firmware update. What is the serial number?

I am not exactly sure what you are asking? Do you want my monitor serial number?

Yes, the 20 digit one. The displays team wants it. You can click my name and send it to me via private message.

So is this an issue with the driver not picking up the TI circuit in the Monitor? I figured it had to do with the USB switching device.
I haven't notice an impact other than the device manager error yet, but the monitors are very new so far.

I'm not going to install a driver that is for the chipset since its used for other devices in addition to the monitor.
I'll wait for you or dell to test.
Good luck
