I would suggest you to update the BIOS and Video card driver on the system. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the OS, then download the BIOS from BIOS section and Video card driver from Video section onto the system and install it.
Before I get into Bios and Video software and all that complications, can you tell me how it helps ??
I am saying that by hitting my finger hard on one of the buttons, this problem goes away temporarily. You can see in the pic I have posted where it shows white arrow is the one I hit hard.
However, muscling with laptop is not the best solution, so I was looking to hear permanent solution from hardware experts. How does software update going to help me? Please clear my doubt and I am ready to take chance messing with Bios
You can update the BIOS so that it would hard reset all the hardware on the system. Video card driver’s reinstallation would reset sleep settings on the system. Please follow the steps and let me know if this helps.
Thanks for your help. But it has NOT changed anything about problem I am facing. It is still typing random alphabet endlessly with or without keypad. It is also blocikng any updown scroll motion on all of my applications. Not just any particular application.
When I am saying that by tapping that button hard, this problem goes away, I clearly feel its hardware related. I was hoping to hear opinions like loosen or tighten certain wires or frames, I just don't know which one. The button I tap is in the image (white arrow)
I was hoping to hear from some Dell expert that has known this problem. My laptop is not for experiment. I am using for important commercial use everyday. Please give opinion only if you or any of your colleagues have seen this problem fix. Thanks.
