When I looked at the scan, I saw that it had Roings in it, but that the Roings entry was not on the log. I checked the Roings box and restarted. This is the new log that I got after doing so. Roings is still in my Add/Remove programs list. I also removed EZ-Reference because this was the one taking over my home page and adding links to my favorites.

UPDATE: The pop-ups have slowed down dramatically, but I am still getting them. They are popping up in places where I have never had pop-ups before, like on my home page. My NIS ad blocking used to catch a lot, but now it is saying that it has blocked 0 ads on the statistics screen.

I ran the uninstaller. It is still in my Add/Remove Programs list. When I try to remove it from there it just says that I must reboot to complete the uninstall, but when I reboot it is still there. The pop-ups are dramatically less since I've been trying all of this removal stuff over the last 24 hours, but occasionally still are there. The thing that is bugging me the most is that on startup, NAV and NIS will not load until I open the program from my desktop. It will then load and open the program. It also is not recognizing my printer on startup at first. I have an all-in-one printer and the status monitor says it cannot connect to the device. I have to tell it to reconnect two times before it finds it. It is always twice, never more and never less. These problems both started with this whole Roings mess.
I honestly don't know how I even got it. I was on one of my normal web pages (may have even been my home page, can't remember) when I got about 20 popups and messages asking if I want to install a bunch of programs. I said no to all of them and closed all of the windows, but I still got about 5 programs including comet cursor, this Roings program, and the ez-reference stuff that took over IE. What a frustrating mess.

I did the Generate Startup List log because when I check those two boxes it won't let me hit scan and if I go back it doesn't leave the boxes checked. I hope this is the log you wanted to see.

Well I can't see anything wrong with that startup log neither.
I suggest that you go to this site
http://forums.net-integration.net/
and post on this board (after registering) http://forums.net-integration.net/index.php?showforum=32
In the post give a link back to this thread - so they can follow the track of what has happened, and give them a Hijackthis log and a startup log.
For the subjuct use 'TonyKlein or another expert - sent by ChrisRLG'
And give what detail you can for him.
He is the industry best and will know what to do.
