Dell Chromebook 11 Battery Issues
I am a Tech 3 at a school district. We have deployed over 11k Dell Chromebook 11's. We have an insanely high amount of Battery/Charging issues. We have been doing TechDirect replacement SR's. When these brand new batteries arrive, we are still getting battery errors, in the forms of: Not Charging; CB not recognizing a battery is installed; Indicator lights flashing Amber (which means there is a battery error).
Dell TechDirect does NOT want to send us new motherboards, which other forums have pinpointed as the culprits in almost ALL these cases. :emotion-12:
What can we do, and/or are we on the wrong path when suggesting new motherboards for battery errors from brand new warranty replacements.

Thanks for posting.
Since this board is predominately Consumer related, your issue falls into the category of a Commercial customer, and as such your school district has an account rep assigned to it. First suggestion would be to get with your Technical Account Manager, and if that's not working, contact their manager. If all that fails, please get back to me privately and include your customer number, and I'll see what can be done. Thanks.

Hi, we just deployed over 600 of the Dell CB 11's and about 5% have come back after 2 months with either screen issues (White lines down the screen) or what appears to battery issues (completely dead). Do you know if the battery issue is a motherboard problem? Did you ever figure out what your CB problems were? Please - any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

they are horrible. I am at a district also and they are so bad. constantly coming back. screws falling out surprised there is not a class action against them. i was wondering what others where saying about them.

I am also a Tech at a school district. We are also having all the same issues . We deployed 3000 of them in Aug. Already having the same problems with batteries even with replacement batteries. Please let us know if you have gotten any resolution to your issues?
