does the Dell Optiplex work with the Intel Pentium E6600 CPU? The CPU is socket 775.

Hello,
The system supports Kentsfield Quad Core Kit, Q6600 , even this is 775 pin socket. So even the E6600 should work.
But to be safe, its best to go ahead with the one we mentioned above.

There are 22 bios updates so the answer is yes many times.
You cant go from A01 to A22 in 1 step
