What happens if you blow out all devices and allow it to reboot and reload. What I mean is uninstall all under USB controllers and and reboot and allow it to reload. It should reload all of the drivers you have loaded.
During this process make sure you have no usb devices connected to your notebook
I have tried to take the USB test over two dozen times in the last two days. Unfortunately, my browser hangs every time I reach the USB Ports test and am unable to complete it. :emotion-6: However, I do pass the general test.

All my USB ports are 3.0. I pinpointed my Chipset and installed as per the link. However, the problem is not solved.

Go here and in Diagnostics and Advanced select USB and run the test and see what it says.

Bump. Still awaiting reply.
Meanwhile, one of my USB port has a USB3.0 external HD detect and work. However, the same port does not detect USB 2.0 thumb drives!
