WTOS 8 EdgeSight Compatibility

WTOS 8 EdgeSight Compatibility

Hello,

We actively monitor bandwidth usage throughout our firm and have a need for the T10's to report the statistics captured by EdgeSight (ICA RTT, Network RTT, etc.). I noticed from the release notes WTOS 8 experimentally supports Edgesight, but wanted to know if there are any global configuration settings that need to be enabled for this? Any assistance you can offer is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Fritz

Hello Fritz,
There are currently no specific INI's required to enable this support. From our research this should be something that is working now with properly configured Citrix policies (that we will now fully honor).

Could you expand on your EdgeSight environment? Is this something that you can bring in the a client and validate if we are properly reporting the client latency, RTT, etc.

Thanks
John

Hi John,

My apologies for the delay in responding. I started getting the RTT for ICA and Network from the T10's without any additional configuration on them. That said, we use XenApp 6.5 published Desktops, so there was an additional Citrix HF and EdgeSight agent we needed to get that working.

The Citrix HF is:  http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX136286
The EdgeSight agent is: 5.4.12.2 -  http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX135579
The EdgeSight database is: 5.4.12.3

Thanks,
Fritz

Fritz,
Thank you for your update. Could you please confirm for me that you are now able to successfully view your T10's with Citrix EdgeSight while running the Beta firmware?

Thanks
John

Hi Fritz,

Thank you. Would it be possible for you to sum up all the different data options you see (not really familiar with what Edgesight has to offer right now  ). Maybe John can add it to the release notes for other customers not too familiar with the options/possibilities.

Thank you Joris.

Fritz, this would be incredibly helpful information.

Thanks
John

Hi John,

That is correct. I can see all the data for the T10's that I can see from other clients in Edgesight. WTOS version is 8.0_030.

Thanks,
Fritz
