Yes, the dark spots in the low side of the screen...they also are visible if I with F2 enter the BIOS. Strange enough they are not visible the first half second when the PC starts.
The sport appear only if the screen content contains an even color at the low side of the screen such as white....playing a movie is fine.
This is a brand new laptop, 1200 euro and local Dutch DELL support can not tell me if this is normal or not, as they do not have a laptop themselves to compare with.

That's backlight degradation. This happens when some of the LED's fail or begin to fail. Very unusual on a new LCD though.
