Dual Monitor Bundle not working

Question

I just received a Dell dual monitor bundle with U2414H monitors as a gift. However, my computer isn't recognizing the monitors. I have an XPS 8700 with a Nvidia GeForce 645 with DVI, HDMI and DP ports, the monitors use DP, mini-dp, HDMI and USB ports. I connected one monitor using the HDMI port (my graphic card can see that monitor) and one using the mini-dp to dp cable that came with the monitors (my graphic card does not see this monitor). I really want to get these up and going and because my computer is out of warranty Dell wants way too much money to help me out. Can anyone out there help me out?

* Turn all three off* Disconnect the HDMI cable from the Nvidia GeForce 645* Leave only one monitor connected to the Nvidia GeForce 645 DP outComputer Nvidia GeForce 645 DP out --> DP to mDP cable --> U2414H mDP in* Turn the U2414H on, then the computer* Press the U2414H Menu button* Go to Input Source* Choose Mini DisplayPort. Does anything appear on screen?
