The system shipped with an i3-2310m or an i5-2410m CPU -- either will work. Other second-generation Core CPUs at 35W or less may work as well, but there are no guarantees.
This probably isn't worth upgrading - you can only go up a couple of hundred MHz (2510 CPU) -- if you're running a conventional hard drive, it would be far more of a boost to replace it with a solid state drive than upgrade the CPU.
