Since we do not test on Lenovo products, no, not a known issue. Because the monitor works directly on the laptop, the monitor is functioning. Open the monitor OSD (On Screen Display) -Display and set MST to Off. Do you then a get a picture when connected to the dock?
1. Go to the monitor On-Screen Display (OSD) menu 2. Select Input Source -> DP or mDP (depending on your connection) 3. Press and hold "Confirm" button for approximately 8 seconds 4. When the DP1.2 message box appears, select Disable
The screen now does show up in the Intel Displayport Topology screen, but still the monitor says that it isn't receiving any DisplayPort signal. I tried both the DP and the mDP connectors.
MST is off by default. So that wasn't the trick. I tried connecting to the mDP and the DP1 connectors with different cables. Neither works.
It looks like I'm not the only one with issues with this dock and its display port. Is there a way to force the up2516d to fall back to display port 1.1? Lenovo suggests this as a workaround...
Received a replacement dock, and there is a slight progression, the screen is now detected by the Intel display driver control panel, but the screen still reports "No signal". I've tested with a number of screens, including an iiyama of similar specs (27", also 3K) and this is my compatibility report so far:

It looks like there is a compatibility issue with Dell screens in general, not just my own. I haven't found one working Dell screen. They all work when connected directly to the laptop
It looks like the first dock I received was indeed defective, since it doesn't work with the iiyama screen. The second dock at least work on th eiiyama.
Just had an interesting call with lenovo. They claim the compatibility issue is at the Dell side, since the dock works on a Lenovo or iiyama screen. And that they won't be testing their devices with 3rd party screens.
Their advice, contact Dell and have you guys issue a firmware fix, while I suspect this is a dock issue. I'm willing to drive by the Dell support in Amsterdam with the laptop and dock to do some testing ;).
Since purchase I have had issues with the intermittent functioning of my P2715Q with the One Link Pro and Think Pad Yoga 12. All three were purchased new in December 2015.
No, this issue was never resolved. I now have a Mini-DP cable tie-ripped to my OneLink Pro cable.
Lenovo indicated that the problem lies with Dell (though they also have issues with other brands) and they say that they only support Lenovo DP devices. Which is bogus given that their materials say that they support DisplayPort devices with 1.1, 1.1a and 1.2. I've had to practice a lot of constraint not to shout at the support person on the other end of the phone.

Try this =
1. Go to the monitor On-Screen Display (OSD) menu
2. Select Input Source -> DP or mDP (depending on your connection)
3. Press and hold "Confirm" button for approximately 8 seconds
4. When the DP1.2 message box appears, select Disable

Looks like we can rule that out as well.

I consider buying one of these and connect the dock to the HDMI connector instead... If only I had a way to know it would definitely work.

Before buying, you should ask the Lenovo users on their Forum if they have used that device with the dock.

Sounds like a plan, though, given that these adapters have been around only since december, I'm afraid it'll be me to be the first.
Note: Lenovo offered me to send replacement device.

Hello
Since purchase I have had issues with the intermittent functioning of my P2715Q with the One Link Pro and Think Pad Yoga 12. All three were purchased new in December 2015.
Were you able to resolve the issue?
