Hi M.Saravanan,

The Battery is a Dell original. Just so you know it is valid for several Inspiron laptops - if you want to check if it's compatible with yours let me know your model.

The battery is also showing as being 5 years old, so you might not get the proper usage out of it, although that's dependent on if it's been used and also where it's been stored for the 5 years.

Hello I bought a battery for my Dell Latitude E6330 from this site http://www.doctor-laptop.ro/baterie-originala-laptop-dell-rfjmw-6-celule.html

The salesman says it is an original Dell battery.

Could you please confirm if it is original or not?

Serial No: KR-0KFHT8-71275-57M-A0AL-A00-(15/07)

Thank you

here are some pictures:

The battery is only a 48WHR according to the part number - 8NH55 -, so if it's labelled as a 73WHR on the actual Battery it isn't valid.

If you want to, take some pictures of the Battery labels and attach them or PM them to me and I'll be able to confirm if it's genuine or not

Dear Colin H,

Greetings.

And thanks for the speedy reply.

This particular DELL Battery is for a DELL Inspiron 15 N5010 and is a 73 Whr Battery.

The default original DELL Battery that comes along with a DELL Inspiron 15 N5010 is a 48 Whr Battery.

I got this 73 Whr Battery from eBay. [although a DELL Battery - all DELL logos are covered and Box is plain and simple with no identification of DELL and no DELL pamphlets and/or DELL Instruction manuals.

And so - a red flag is raised.

And I also know that this Battery is 5 years old [ found it from the Battery serial no. ].

But the Battery is brand new -  no doubt - because no signs of usage and/or wear and tear.

And don't know where and how it has been stored for the past 5 years.

Since the Battery is a 73 Whr - it gives me a stand by time of 5 hours 30 mins when its 100 % charged - as expected.

But, if it is 5 years old - what does 2014.9  in DP / N  -  08NH55      2014.9 mean ?

Hope this Battery is fine and there will be no issues. Please confirm...

If you have any concerns, please address...

Thanking you in advance..

Dear Colin H,

Greetings.

Again, thanks for the speedy reply.

Even though it is mentioned as DP / N  -  08NH55      2014.9 - it is still a 73 Whr Battery.

I am unable to send you a picture of the Laptop Battery because I am currently working on it.

I will send the Laptop Battery picture at the earliest.

Meanwhile - I am sending a screen shot of the BatteryInfoView of my Laptop Battery.

Thanks.

Hi cornel.p.alin,

Your battery is genuine

January 13th, 2016 03:00

Dear Colin,

Greetings.

And, now I am fully confused. Is my Battery is genuine or not ?

As per the serial no. it should be 48 Whr. But, in Battery it is stated as 90 Whr.

But, in functionality - it is giving me  an output of 73 Whr.

And can you please reply, your confusion between the two mails - from not genuine to genuine.

And I would like to know this - just for the knowledge of it.

Thanks.

Hi M.Saravanan,

Your battery isn't a genuine battery.

There are various things that prove this:

1. The Battery type shows as 90W when the Battery serial shows as 48W

2. The wording printed on the Battery is incorrect

3. The date shown on the Serial Number label (20149) doesn't match the date on the Serial number

4. The Battery name in the BatteryInfo software doesn't match the Battery.
