Our driver is not the issue with their dock. Have you tested the U2412M directly on the Surface Pro, no dock?
Microsoft is supposed to be working on a special connector dongle which improves the Link Training process to boost the signal strength negotiated with the external monitors. As to when this will be available, that is unknown by Dell. Note, the dongle will not be available from stores. As far as we know, the Microsoft engineers have not notified their front line technicians of the existence of said special connector dongle.

Thanks great to know.
I have not purchased the devices yet as the issues reported by Microsoft with my current monitors.
It's good to get a detailed answer of what is wrong with the dock.

Do you know if an DisplayPort to DVI Active Adapter will resolve the issue or allow me to use the U2412M with the surface dock.

Unknown. You should ask the dock users on their Forum.
