I can't answer your questions but at other times when I got File Watch emails in the past that weren't for my system, it was only a matter of days that new files came out for my system.

I would advise you not to install it. Japan uses different frequencies for WiFi, and using this drivers may force your card into those ranges, which will likely make your network no longer work :0.

Thanks, Matt.  That is what I thought too, so refrained from the temptation.  I'll just wait until a US version shows up.

Anyone with any idea how the 1350/1450 relates to the 1300/1400?  Or are these just plain old 1300/1400 with the new driver meant for the Japanese market?  What I'm hoping is that the 1350/1450 uses a different chipset (maybe Atheros?? -- that'll make them really attractive) rather than the Broadcom one that 1300/1400 has (and is pretty finicky).

US version is posted too.

Don't install the US version if your not having any problems, I did and it hosed my wireless connection. Wouldn't connect to my internet. I had to reinstall the old drivers to get it to work again.

I installed the US version also and have noticed no differences at all.  I've only had minor problems anyway....about 2 minutes after 1st booting the connection with the router goes out but I turn off wireless and then immediately turn it back on and it never disconnects again (unless I reboot).  Its not the router since another laptop works fine but like I said, it's minor to me. I thought the updated driver might correct this but no dice.

I'm using WPA-PSK with TPIK encryption and it didn't change a thing so I give it thumbs up.

Almost forgot-I have a WRT54G Linksys with latest firmware.

So have you noticed any differences? What router are using? Can you enable WPA encryption?

Can you do me a favour? Open the Dell Truemobile WLAN Card Utility. Select the Link Status tab.

What does it "say" beside the security title? Does it say WPA or WEP TKIP or ....?
