Hi,

Please run hardware diagnostics to ensure HW is fine.

Is the BIOS up to date??

Hi, thx for the reply.

BIOS is A09 which is the latest (installed about 3 weeks ago). Ran the pre-boot diagnostic and no errors reported.

thx

Hi, disabled the IRST service - those errors are no longer showing but the delay is still happening - I guess they were just symtpoms.

There's no other clear errors in the event log, though there is a clear period where nothing is being logged during this period - the system is totally unresponsive, i.e. can't open anything, click on anything etc.

thx

Can't get any traction on any of the screws at all... They're extremely small head and seem to have fused in place...

I'm starting to see lots of BSODs caused with a certain application - 1 only, everything else seems fine - could this also point to memory issue?

Hi
It could be memory issue.
Just out of curiosity, have you tried formatting the system?

Hi, I haven't tried a reformat, but am intending to install Windows 10 in a couple of weeks so will see if that alleviates the issue.

I also want to swap the SSD in the machine but can't get any of the screws out - what are the best options for me here?

Do keep us posted post win 10 update.
Do note, not all the machines are tested for windows 10.
To check about the SSD, give us the  tag# via PM.

Hi, unfortunately I killed the laptop with Ribena at the weekend so not sure whether it's repairable or not - will know in the next couple of days...
