U2515H, MacBook Pro 2008, Unable to set 2560x1440?

Hi there, I try to set up a dual monitor work space. When I try to set the screen to 2560x1440 60Hz (highest resolution that the monitor supports), I get this: My system setup: Mac Pro 3.1 (early 2008)OSX El Capitan 10.11.2 (latest)Nvidia GeForce 8800GT 512mb (installed latest CUDA drivers)10GB memory I use a HDMI to DVI cable (HDMI in Dell monitor, DVI in Mac Pro).On the Nvidia site, it says that this gfx card supports 2560x1440.The HDMI cable is at least version 1.3, which supports resolutions up to 2560x1440. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?Thanks in advance! Erik

Unfortunately, Dell does not test/validate most of our monitor models on Apple proprietary hardware, ports, and software.

You should post on the Apple Discussions Forum and see if they can offer some insight or troubleshooting steps.
