When Dell first started using the combo jacks we got reports from people who had good luck with the splitters, but over time I think the majority of the reports have been about failures with them. I would try a usb jack like this.
I also have had my Dell inspiron 7559 for about a week. I am having the same issue. When I try to set up team speak 3 I get echo and I hear my self. When I use the speech recognition on the PC my mic on my headset pics it up fine. But in game it doesn't work or in teamspeak. I just get echo and hear myself. I've tried using a splitter and the USB.
