The CPU runs at 2.3 GHz normally and will speed up to the maximum when the load on the system requires it.  That said, the CPU you have is quite capable -- it may not need to run all that fast for most games.  Games tend to be limited by the video system - not the CPU.  While your system is quite capable of minimum (low end) gaming, the video chip makes it less suitable for mid range or faster gaming -- that's where you'll find the limits on this system, not with the CPU.

Thank you for the reply. Part of my confusion was me being unaware of the turbo boost function. I didn't understand how it could be 2.3-3.2. I just read a lot of reviews stating they had modern stuff running at low-mid settings.  But then www.canyourunit.com said otherwise. But that site and application doesn't take in considering your max cpu speed. Either way. Thanks.
