AFAIK this doesn't exist (let's say, I've never seen it).
I'd rather buy an external HDD that you connect via Firewire on your Inspiron 8200 (because the 8200 only has the slow USB1.1) and via USB2.0 or Firewire on your Desktop (dependent on what desktop you have).

Well, that was my first idea (i have a LaCie Pocket Drive FW&USB2)
The trouble is how to use the external HD when using the battery:
The i8200 4pin firewire (or a USB2 PCMCIA card either) does not authorize self-powered.
If you have nay idea how to turn around this, it would be great.

In fact my LaCie Pocket Drive FW&USB2 can be self powered on a desktop
but it does not seem possible with a 8200
