No, not in Bios

I think I found the solution to most if not all the problems with the Docking station, the constant disconnects of WIFI, Video blanking, etc., but before I post it would like to test it by few of you with the problems. The solution is extremely simple and it only requires changing one setting.

So please email me at Atin90@hotmail.com

Forgive my caution, but why not just post the 'fix' and let us all test it - if working then you get the credit, if not then this simple setting change can be reverted?
I am (and I think all should be) very suspicious of anyone asking for and thus potentially harvesting email addresses.

I understand your concern and will be posting the solution today. I just wanted to make sure that it is not something that only works on my PC.

Well the appropriate way to do that is to post it here so people can test it. It makes absolutely zero sense to withhold it and ask people to email you outside of the forum simply because "you're not sure if it only works on your system" ????

Maybe the WLAN adapter could be the reason for some disconnect issues, but not for the issue of blanking monitor connected to DisplayPort. I know this, because my WLAN adapter is always manually deactivated when I'm using my laptop with the dock.

The faulty displayPort is very probably a heat related issue...

Kyle, can you link to this post of yours, or recapitulate? I am interested in trying out this solution.

I use custom power settings, but it is basically in high performance mode when being charged.

I saw that the page you posted mentioned switching to high performance mode. Did you do it as well?

Gotcha. Thanks. Will give it a try for the balanced mode.

BTW any updates for the newer version of the dock?:emotion-2:

The last I heard of the new dock was that they were testing it.  I honestly don't see anything new coming for at least a few months.  I just hope they stick to their word and provide free replacements for all of us who beta tested the first dock for them.

In summery, install the following asmedia driver

http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/Socket2011-R3/Z10PE-D8_WS/Drivers/chipset/ASMedia_ASM1042AE_1142_V116291.zip

Once I did that and kept a fan blowing on the dock, I have not had a single issue.
