Thank you for the update.  Please continue updating as the Dell Rep sends his.  2 more months minimum of wrestling with this not-ready-for-prime-time-dock.  I do not believe they'll be able to charge us anything for the new hardware; they really ought to be paying us for all the time we've spent troubleshooting the thing.

I just installed the new "ASMedia USB 3.0 Extended Host Controller Firmware" that dropped today. It has addressed my dock's USB-dropping problems that I was experiencing, especially with my wireless keyboard and mouse...

Do you have a link to the new driver? The XPS 13 page is still showing the one from Mar 16.  I am still using the Asus Asmedia driver which has been working well for me.

I found it here...

Unfortunately it didn't resolve me issue with the USB ports!

@DENNISUR That version 1.11.23 is older than the one I currently have from 2/4/2016 which is 1.16.33.1. How can it have release date of 6/30/2016?

@KYLEMORRIS  Is there s posting or official statement supporting that? I haven't heard anything and I would like to get a new updated model that addresses these issues. My USB and USB Network has been dropping and only way to get it back is to shut down and restart. How long it works has been random.

@SonyHome have you tried the Asmedia driver I posted? That combined with placing a desk fan to blow on mine has resulted in 100% reliably working dock.

That email came from my enterprise rep.  From what he told me before, anyone who has purchased the doc and submitted a claim will receive the new one when it is released.  Everyone that has submitted a claim should be getting weekly emails.  I know it is a bit of a pain but if you have not already, use dell chat or call them and get your name on the list of people having problems.

Investigating USB-C Problems on Some Dell XPS and Precision Laptops

Interesting.  Problems with their USB-C (not Thunderbolt) docks with Dell systems.  Would indicate to me that the laptops (and possibly not the much maligned docks) have the issues...

ASMedia software is not for the WD15.  It is for TB15.

That's interesting that they removed version 1.4.3. I downloaded it on 17th of June. The file has SHA1 sum 053b5a6d95d29ac6222f60ea244f30b67bfc7c1d and is named XPS_9350_1.4.3.exe

I installed all 3 now and no one complained but the firmware at the end displayed "The firmware is up to date"... I don't know if that means it updated it or was it already up to date?!

Today I found for my XPS 9350 on Dell's Support home page a new:

- Intel(R) Thunderbolt(TM) Controller Driver (v. 16.1.47.275)

- Intel(R) Thunderbolt(TM) 3 Firmware Update (v. 2.16.01.003)

- Intel HD Graphics Driver (v. 20.19.15.4454)

Installed the 2 drivers, no problem. But when I try to install the Firmware, than I get a message that I need a newer BIOS. But no newer BIOS is available for the 9350 than the one that I already use (version 1.3.3 from 30 march 2016).

Any ideas where I can get this? Of course I still hope that the problems that I have with my TB15 are solvable by SW Updates.

1.4.3 bios was removed from the website due to conflicts.  I reverted to 1.3.3.   Dell told me a new bios will be released soon.
