PBP and the U3415W

Question

I am considering purchasing the U3415W, and one of the major selling points for me is the PBP support. Is it possible with this monitor to run two inputs side by side at 1720x1440 each? I have access to one of these units and was unable to accomplish this with DP and MHL(sub) inputs running on PBP full mode per the instructions in the manual. I was able to view both inputs, but they were compressed horizontally with black bars on either side. I tried playing around with the resolutions on both monitors, but the scaling issue remained. Is this setup possible with this monitor? Or are there any suggestions as to getting this to actually work with correct scaling?

Not sure about the resolution, but see the manual, page 47, 'PBP Aspect Ratio'.

Unfortunately the PBP Aspect Ratio mode did not work for me either. Wouldn't PBP Full be the correct setting anyway since I want to use the full screen at full resolution in this case?

I'll get some more comprehensive information about setup, etc. next time I have access to the monitor.

I do not see any PBP resolution maximum data in the manual? Users will need to report what resolutions they can attain using PBP.
