thanks for the advice. I tried indeed everything and more, but no bluetooth device was to be seen... I finally checked the BIOS, and here we are:
SOLVED.
The issue was indeed related to an option: "do you want the physical button on the left to control: wifi, wifi + bluetooth...". I probably unexpectedly unchecked bluetooth, so there was no more way to power it on.
You can try other suggestions/troubleshooting at this link as well. Unless the bluetooth was disabled somehow or the wireless was turned off it should be enabled. Another option is to try downloading and installing the drivers manually (as provided at that link)

I would try running diagnostics for the bluetooth here: http://dell.to/2cLlEWL;
