Vostro 3700 replace monitor 1600x900 => 1920x1080 compatibility?

Hi all,
We have a Dell Vostro 3700 laptop and we would like to replace the screen. It was originally fitted with a 1600x900 screen, but we would like to replace it with a 1920x1080 screen.
Does someone know whether this would be possible?

Some links to those screens:  1920x1080 screens and  1600x900 screens.

It appears to have been an option with the system at purchase, but be  sure the supplier you choose guarantees compatibility - you cannot simply choose a screen on specification;  it needs to be a screen the system is known to be compatible with.

You will also need to replace the display wiring harness - the one used for a higher-resolution system has more conductors in the cable.  If you use the original wiring harness, you'll see only a partial image.

The other thing to consider:  this is a relatively old system now, and the higher resolution screen will appreciably slow its performance.
