As per the message sent to us, the bulb that was replaced could have caused the reverse current and short the system board.
We also request you to share the service tag for us to check for more details. You can refer to this link which is a video with the steps to find the service tag.
Service Tag . The bulb specifies on the label that it is a replacement for this unit - but I know that may be in question. Thank you for your initial diagnosis. I can't find a single reference online where a projector bulb could cause reverse current and shorted a system board.
Thank you for sharing the service tag. As the projector is not powering on currently after the bulb replacement, we suspect that this could be an issue with the reverse current causing the system board or any internal component failure. Having said that, we see that the age of the projector is almost 13 years and hence we are not sure if the parts are available. You can contact out of warranty department at 1-800-288-4410, so they can check if the parts are available. If not, you might have to consider purchasing a new projector. Our Out of Warranty department is available 24[7].

open projector, and check the lamp cover switch. Short the switch on main board, and see if can work.
