2nd display

Question

Hi all, I have a Dell Latitude E5570 laptop that is on a docking station with two 24' Dell P2441H monitors.  The docking station has a display port adapter, dvi and vga.  The only way I can get both displays to work when the laptop is docked is to use the dvi and vga outputs on the docking station to the monitors.  The dvi output is the primary monitor and the vga display is the secondary monitor. I have updated the video driver, the laptop bios, the intel chipset driver and according to the dell auto driver detect, all drivers are up-to-date.   After updating all of these items, the secondary display still only works on vga.  If I try to run it off dvi, the monitor has a message about the dvi cable being disconnected even though it is connected. Has anyone else had this issue and found a solution to it? Thanks.

Which dock are you using?

I am using a Dell E-Series (WV7MW dock).  I have also tried it with an E-Series plus (JKJ9X dock) and both docks have done the same thing.

Hi pcpro215,

Can you PM me your Service Tag (do not post it in the thread)? And on the monitors can you confirm the model? P or U and 2414 (this doesn't matter on fix, but was curious)?
