kinds of Static link aggregation
I have set up an static link aggregation with a powerconect2848 and there are 3 kinds of link aggregation avaiable: Layer2, Layer3, Layer2/3. Which differences there are between them? Can someone indicate some documentation about it ?
On the LAG port will traffic several vlans, which is gonna connect as a trunk port through an vmware standard vswitch.

Hi,
– Layer 2 — Enables load balancing based on static and dynamic MAC addresses. – Layer 3 — Enables load balancing based on source and destination IP addresses. – Layer 2-3 — Enables load balancing based on static and dynamic MAC addresses, and source and destination IP addresses.

Thanks Josh,
Another question. How many LAGs the powerconnect 2848 support?
In documentation says "up to 8" another page says "up to 4" on purchase sites shows "up to 4".
On web interface configuration I can see up to 8 LAGs avaiable. Is that correct ? Can I configure up to 8?

I think it was 4 and then later changed to 8, which is why the documentation doesn’t all match.
