U2913WM, sporadic occurrences of green tint

Occasionally I get a green tint on my monitor. This occurs with various apps and with two different GPUs. Switching monitor off and on clears the problem. Would be grateful for any info on how I might isolate and remedy this fault.

What specific computer models were used when testing?
What specific GPU video cards?
What video out ports are on both GPU video card to test on the U2913WM?
Are you testing using only the Dell supplied cabling?
Was this purchased new directly from Dell?
What is the 20 digit serial number and A0x revision?

What specific computer models were used when testing?
If you mean the manufacturer and model then:- Gigabyte GA-B75M-D2V with an Intel CPU.
What specific GPU video cards?
NVidia GeForce
What video out ports are on both GPU video card to test on the U2913WM?
DVI-D
Are you testing using only the Dell supplied cabling?
Yes.
Was this purchased new directly from Dell?
Yes.
What is the 20 digit serial number and A0x revision?
Where will I find those?

I have not done any testing specific to this issue. It occurs occasionally during normal use.

I have raised a case with Dell Support and have been asked to take pics next time the issue occurs and to mail those to the techie.

I am now using a new GPU, so perhaps that may eliminate the problem.

What specific Nvidia video card model? (GTX 770 etc)
Are you saying that the Nvidia video card only has the one DVI-D port?
Look for a label on the rear of the monitor for those numbers.

My U2913WM occasionally shows a green tinge which disappears when I power off and on again. This has happened with two different GPUs. Unfortunately it is completely random and I cannot recreate the situation. What is my best course of action?

Hi Robert P,

I am using the DVI cable that was supplied with the monitor.

Have you tried the monitor on another system?  Do you have the same results?  If so, perhaps contacting Tech Support and troubleshooting with them may be in order.

I have raised the issue with Tech Support.

I posted here on the chance that others may have experienced the problem.

The trouble with using a different system or even changing graphics cards is that the problem is so sporadic. It could be weeks or even months before it recurs.
