Read through this. PCB as in the internal board? Which specific GeForce GTX 1050 Ti (EVGA, Aetina) ?
* Was the U3415W purchased directly from Dell or some reseller? And when?
* What is the 20 digit alpha-numeric U3415W serial number and A0x revision?
* To what computer model is the U3415W attached?
* What operating system is installed on the computer?
* What video OUT ports are on the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti?
* Can you replicate the issue when testing the U3415W on a different computer using the same U3415W port and cabling?

So a product sold as 1.2 needs to be set to 1.1?

Bought from Amazon

Where's the serial number?

PC is Win 10, Asus GA-Z77-HD3

Win10, up to date (bios and OS)

Using DP port

No, Linux box uses HDMI, video card has no DP out. GT750Ti No Linux support for 1050

No. That article is showing that some video cards are not sending a constant DP 1.2 signal. If switching to DP 1.1 fixes the "randomly goes black for a few seconds" issue, the fault is either the video card driver or the video card itself. This U3415W was manufactured on 2/8/17. A03 is latest version I have seen out here.

So 'some' have an intermittent fault. Else, its the Nvidia driver / hardware.

Summary (IMHO) Dell may have a problem but won't admit to it and can't anything.

Happens with 3 different Nvidia cards - not hw.

May be Nvidia sw (v.low probability since the same driver used across the family)

I'll settle for an intermittent. Just leaves a nasty taste Chris?

Dell used to be good.

Minor update. With 1.2 turned off (on monitor) the PC has not blacked out in about 3 hours use. 1070 GPU

Minor update even tho this post is quite old:

I´ve been able to fix random blackscreens by giving my GPU (ASUS Strix Vega 64) more voltage. I also have a completely different monitor so yours is most likely not at fault either.

I had this issue when I moved PC from a VGA connection (build PC), which had no issues, to a Dell DP/HDMI only monitor.

Transpires after testing the power output on the second PC was not powerful enough to support the high-end video card. Installed a basic DVI/HDMI card and the issue is now resolved.

The PC with the high-end graphics card has a 750-watt power supply whereas the PC with the problem monitor has a 350 -watt mini tower

Hope this helps
