S2716DG, OSD, Gamma setting
Hello,
The S2716DG is a great monitor, but the gamma out of the box is awful. It's looks so washed out and requires calibration. This is fine, but the ICC profiles or settings in Nvidia control panel do not hold in some games meaning they look washed out.
Does Dell have any plans to somehow do a firmware update that would allow owners to control the gamma from the OSD?
This option would make this a truly excellent monitor. Please see if this can be done as it's the only downside of this monitor that is widely discussed online and in reviews, and its quite annoying to spend so much on a monitor to have this simple problem that could be sorted with an option in the OLD.
Thanks

There are no plans to create a firmware update to do this. Firmware updates are very costly to Dell and are only done to fix systemic issues (as defined by Dell and the manufacturer) with a monitor. The S2716DG Menu should be reset to Factory defaults. Then, all gamma setting changes should be done via the Nvidia Control panel.

Because of this issue, I am never going to buy a Dell monitor again. Gamma out of the box is horrible with no way to change besides .icc which gets reset be numerous applications.
