Just incredibly disappointed that spending so much money gets you a computer so poorly constructed. Expected more from Dell. I guess I will be looking for my own needs and recommending to others a different computer company. This one barely lasted a 13 months (that works out to around $146 a month before falling apart) Too bad I have always thought they were a upstanding company but, when so much goes wrong (not one little thing) with one device it makes me think that quality I once believed Dell possessed and backed up is no longer there. Live and learn.

Sounds like most of the problem is a swollen battery - get that replaced ASAP -- it's a safety hazard.

If you know of another manufacturer with more than 12 months warranty on the battery -- buy the system from them.
