E7450 external monitor is blank
Hi,
I got dell E7450
In the morning I put the laptop in the docking station and turn it on from hibernate.
The external screen prompts me with the HD lock pin after I punch it in the monitor goes blank
To get the external monitor back to wrok I need to open the laptop lid and close it again
Does anyone know why this is happaning?

Thanks for posting.
Hibernation issues have always been problematic and doesn't matter which brand of computer, which is why I don't recommend using it.
It sounds like the wake up instructions and sleep configuration have been corrupted. If you haven't checked to see if you have the latest BIOS, you can try that. If that's okay, then take the computer off the dock, shut it down completely, remove the battery, and hold the power button in for a few seconds, then replace the battery and restart. Also disconnect the power from the dock and drain any residual power the same way. Post back with your results.
