Precision T5600 Raid Question

I received this unit and installed two 480gb SSD at 6gbs drives as my D (Data) drive.  I then added a 256 SSD at 6gbs for my C drive.  I set the two 480 drives to stripe raid with built in Raid controller on motherboard.  For some reason its not as fast as I thought it would be..  I ran Crystal Disk Mark and attached the pics below.  I use the PC to Convert Large Doc files to PDF.  I have all the docs and PDF files on the D drive. Any idea why this is not as fast as it should be?

Help - I have found that the motherboard has 2 6gbs ports but cant find any documentation which ones they are?  I also found that I can add a Raid card to get 6gbs as most sata ports on this PC does not support 6gbs.

Dr_DLH,

Below is information on the Raid setup on your system as well as the online manual.

Raid RebuildA CAUTION indicates a potential for property damage, personal injury, or death. CAUTION: The Rebuilding can take some time as it is depending on the number of drives selected and drive capacities.
The replacement Hard Drive remain offline until the rebuilding process is completed.
Background Initialization
Background initialization (BGI) is the automated operation in which parity is created and written. BGI does not run on RAID 0 virtual disks. Under certain conditions, the BIOS Configuration Utility ( ) displays a message if you want to stop BGI in progress. An alert message displays if BGI is in progress and you start any of the following actions:

A Full Initialization on the virtual disk
A fast initialization on the virtual disk
A consistency check on the virtual disk
The following alert message displays:

The virtual disk is undergoing a background initialization process. Would you like to stop the operation and proceed with the instead?

Click Yes to stop the BGI and start the requested operation or No to allow BGI to continue.

A CAUTION indicates a potential for property damage, personal injury, or death. CAUTION: DO NOT initialize/ delete an array to prevent any data loss.
Clearing Foreign Configurations Using the VD Mgmt Menu
You can use the VD Mgmt menu to import the existing configuration to the RAID controller or clear the existing configuration. In addition, you can view the foreign drive data from the Foreign View tab without importing the configuration.

A CAUTION indicates a potential for property damage, personal injury, or death. CAUTION: DSP to reseat the HDD, ensure the HDD is properly attached before performing steps below.
When a foreign configuration exists, the BIOS banner displays the message:

Foreign configuration(s) found on adapter

In addtiton, a foreign configuration, when present, displays on the right side of the Ctrl Mgmt screen.

Perform the following steps to clear foreign configurations. 1. During bootup, press when prompted by the BIOS banner.
The VD Mgmt screen displays by default.
2. The VD Mgmt screen showing one of the PC drives highlighted in yellow, indicating that it is the problem drive - "Degraded" state in the right side menu under RAID Status. (Depending on the type of RAID configured, the state shown may differ. Eg. Raid 0, the State will show as "offline")
Disk State is degraded
3. Ctrl-N to navigate to PD Mgmt screen. Verify the drive in question is in a "Foreign State" - right hand menu show that there is no operation available.
No operation available
4. Ctrl-N twice to access the "Foreign View" tab. Press F2 on the keyboard. This will give you the Foreign Config option. Select "Clear" to remove the foreign config.

5. Finish.

6. Finish.
A NOTE indicates important information that helps you make better use of your computer. NOTE: If a physical disk is a member of a disk group that contains multiple virtual disks and one of the virtual disks is deleted when a rebuild operation is in progress, the rebuild operation stops. You can then resume the rebuild operation manually using a storage management application. To avoid interruption, ensure that none of the virtual disks are deleted until the rebuild is complete.
Rate of Rebuild
Several of the controller configuration settings and the virtual disk settings affect the actual rate of rebuild. The factors include the rebuild rate setting, virtual disk stripe size, virtual disk read policy, virtual disk write policy, and the amount of workload placed on the storage subsystem.
