I dont have Dell Diagnostics installed. When I got my laptop new, I did a clean install of Win XP Pro.

The only thing I can think of is that I used it for a long amount of time. Did it overheat? Is that possible?

do you have dell driver and utility cd? if you have it you can run your diagnostic off the cd by choosing it as your boot device.. however there might be a chance that the diagnostic returns no error.. and it may be that the video card or the monitor has been spoilt..

Some things to check/change:

as mentioned.....boot to safe mode and see what happens
change/update video card driver
make sure the display cable is seated properly....see here:
http://premiersupport.dell.com/docs/systems/ins600m/en/sm/display.htm#1001090
get it serviced

Good luck.......................TD

Thanks for your replies.
Couldnt find my Dell Diagnostic CD, but I sent the laptop to Dell already.
They asked me to plug it in the monitor to see if has the same messed up screen, and it did, so they told me to go ahead and send it.

Hopefully they fix it and get it back to me soon.
