Integrated NIC Pro VE issues all of a sudden

Question

Works then stops.  Will come home from work and my broadband will report no connection can be found.  Go to device manger and the Intel Pro 100 VE integrated is red Xed out.  Uninstall it, reinstall it, then its goiod again.  Use the internet, come back later and its gone again. Used the Dimension 8300 recommended driver for it, but that comes up as not XP verified.  Is that part of it? Kind of sudden, kind of odd.  Any ideas? Todd

Get the driver from the Intel site.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Got the Intel driver, testing it now. Additional question: that driver come up with the "Deterministic Network Enhancer Miniport" not XP authorized as well. Is that normal?

What the heck is a Deterministic Network Enhancer Miniport anyway ? ;^)

Did you get any reply to this? I am getting the same message - no Windows logo, contact hardware provider - during installation of Cisco VPN software.
