AMD Radeon R9 270x Crashing: Alienware X51 R2

So basically I've had my Alienware x51 R2 for around two years, and about 2 weeks ago i was playing LoL for roughly a couple of hours until my computer crashed with vertical white and grey lines which froze the computer.
Ever since whenever i try to start my computer, it'll load into windows and then a couple of minutes will pass and it'll crash with just a black screen and i'll have to force shut down by holding down the power button.
I've loaded the computer into safe mode and disable the graphics card and then start it up again and the computer works like it is normally, i just cannot play any games which is what i use my computer for...

Has anyone had this problem before and if so how did they fix it or do i just have to buy a new graphics card??

And I'm running the 330 Wat power supply.

Hi,

It could be a hardware failure with the video card, but we recommend you try to reinstall the AMD drivers first in case it's a driver issue. Click here for the AMD driver download link. Make sure to uninstall it first from Device Manager, under Display Adapters, then restart the system and install it again.

I've tried to reinstall and still no lucky, so if it is a hardware failure that requires me to replace it correct?
