I suppose your system is an AW17R1, this are the validated cards for this model:
Discrete:nVidia GeForce GTX765MnVidia GeForce GTX770MnVidia GeForce GTX780M
AMD, Radeon R9 M290X
Unofficially the GTX 980 should work.
