Tried the ax series psu, no Ida why it wouldn't work, the mb would not turn on ..I use 8 pin connectors Bc the Evga psu I have uses 8 pin vga cables , I use 32 gb corsair vegeance 2400 ddr4 ram.
i did try the Corsair 1000WATT RMI , the ARE51 R2 did not Start, than i looked at the EVGA Specs, and found out that they work OUT of the BOX , so i did order the EVGA G2 850WATT.
took me 15 Minutes to Install it, for a quick Test without routing the Cables.
alle EVGA Cables have the same length as the OEM PSU , it is just PLUG & PLAY !
Next steps is to Figure out PCIe SSD, NVME etc, that a X99 board Supports but is Crippled in the BIOS great JOB from AW / DELL for Premium Machine
it is like Driving a Ferrari with 16" Rims, instead of the 20" , you know you could go Faster but your Wheels dont Support your Car Speed ! and it is Premium as well
That is the best analogy I've heard yet. I know I would have some buyers remorse if I didn't get mine at a wholesale price. I tried upping the ram to 32GB Hyperx twice (2400 & 2133) and it wouldn't launch BIOS. And their programs like Alienware Command Center add to their console style lockdown. I tried running Precision X and that caused AWCC thermal control to damage the registry to the point that I had to do a fresh install of Windows if I wanted to run my fans. So I have been left which a choice, control GPU fans or chassis fans.

What screw driver is needed to correctly unscrew the screw on the back of the lock switch? Will a tip 00 screw driver be fine ?
