Also i have ran the ati tests on the video card and it is working properly..i have also updated microsoft direct x.??? one thing i have noticed that is kind of we ird is that in the properties section under display i have to monitors and the number one monitor only 2 settings either 800 X 600 or 1024 my step-son has a dell notebook and this is different on his machine
That laptop can play a lot more than solitaire and hearts! Try re-installing your Radeon 7500 graphics driver. The only 800x600 and 1024x768 issue is not a problem. Windows XP only allows a minimum resolution of 800x600 when your running normally. Your laptop screen is only capable of displaying upto 1024x768. Thats why you only have the two choices.
I am wondering if you have had any success with fixing problem. Mine is similiar on a 1501 Inspirion. All of a sudden I had a connection but no access to internet. The Dell wlan is working fine. But in a section describing two adapters it says they have been either disabled or removed? What is up with that , do you have any suggestions. The computer is working fine, I downloaded windows vista sp2 and have cleaned up as much of everything I can figure out to. I have gone into boot system and everything seems fine. What would cause a program or device to remove itself. Beats me. Let me know if you know anything, thanks Mary
