The 411 on the new Inspiron XPS video card

There has been much speculation on the video card update for the Inspiron XPS. Many of you are have some pretty high expectations. I’ve read some claim that an NVIDIA fx go5900 will replace the Radeon 9700. Not true. ATI has made a deal with Dell (very similar to Voodoopc www.voodoopc.com ). The updated video card will be a 256mb version of the Radeon 9700. The Radeon is still very new and will not be replaced any time in the near future. But expect the update within a few months. www.dell.com says expect it in May-June 04, but I’m positive it will be later.

Actually the new video card will be a mobile version of the X800 also called the M18. Sorry, to disagree just wanted to set the record straight.
