Could someone please take a look at their Inspiron 8600 plastic hinge cover? Is it perfectly sealed with the base? is it seamless?

Thank you.

I cannot see you picture (its just an X so I guess the link is down) so I can't tell if it is normal or not. I don't seem to ahve any cilindrical things at the base of my 8600. Simply flat plastic and some sealed hatches for access to the memory, wireless lan, ...

Hi,

agree with BUZZ1977

just checked my 9100 and it was the same; the RHS was out of whack

gentle pressure and it just popped back together

What is the RHS? Why can't you the picture? I can! I tried to make pressure but it doesn't solve the problem.

Thank you.

I am pasting the picture again since some of you had problems seeing it in my earlier post.

Thank you.

Cross-posting won't help your issue Jordi,  I gave you the solution in the other thread.  Try it or deal with Dell support.  RHS =Right Hand Side
