S2417DG, MacBook, will not turn on after overclock setting enabled

I received my new monitor today and was going through the settings to see what was available. I enabled the overclock, and let it reset itself. After rebooting I'm not able to do anything with the monitor - all buttons are unresponsive with a completely black screen. The power led does light up. I've tried a hard reset by unplugging everything and holding the power button for 60 seconds and restarting it but cannot seem to get it to do anything. Any advice? At the time I enabled the overclock I was connected via DisplayPort to a 2015 MacBook Pro. It's pretty frustrating to brick my new monitor the day it arrived, hopefully you all can help me out! Update: when I connect my MacBook with an HDMI cable the MacBook senses that there is a monitor, and let's me move my cursor over to it, but nothing displays on the screen. Displayport does not work at all and is not recognized.

Is the non-tested non-validated Apple MacBook even capable of sending a video signal higher than 60Hz? Check with Apple Forums on that question.

Read through this to see the requirements for using overclocking Hz.

Is there a true Windows based computer with a DP out port to test the S2417DG DP in on?

Does the standalone S2417DG BID (Built-in Diagnostics) (page 40) appear and run?

Hi Chris, thanks for the response!

I was only using the macbook to try out the monitor as I was waiting for other parts to arrive for the PC build I would use this on. I didn’t think that something like this would happen if I enabled an incompatible setting.

I now have the PC built up and ready to test with - I have an EVGA 1080 card: https://www.evga.com/products/product.aspx?pn=08g-p4-6183-kr

If you could provide me troubleshooting steps that would be great - I am not able to access the BID, holding down buttons 1 and 4 has no effect.

I have emailed the Displays Team. Should get a response on Monday.

Try this =
* The computer and S2417DG are off
* Disconnect every cable (including the power cable) from the S2417DG
* Press and hold in the S2417DG power button for 10 seconds
* Reconnect the power cable to the S2417DG
* Connect in this way =
EVGA 1080 DP out port --> S2417DG DP to DP cable --> 2417DG DP in port
* Turn the computer on
* Press the S2417DG power button
* Press the S2417DG Menu button. Does the Menu appear?
If yes, go to Input Source and select DP. The windows desktop should appear
If no, we will see what the Displays Team has to offer

Thanks Chris! I'll try this out tonight and let you know if I'm able to resolve this issue.

Hey Chris,
Unfortunately these steps did not help. I tried this with a few different DP to DP cables. Please let me know what the displays team has to say.
