Yes I did, I even put it back behind the plastic shell, it went out again. I'm just moving my finger from one side to another, it's not very well designed for touching some exact place.
Any clue what it is?
Thank You
Best regards
Bryan
P.S.: The iPS glow for a 1000 eur LCD panel is horrendous :/, it's literally taking away all of my attention while watching movies, or playing games :(
No idea. Are you saying it is attached and you can move it out and in, but not remove it?
Run the BID (Built-in diagnostics) and post pictures of all of the colored screens. Based on those pictures, I will tell you if it meets our manufacturer specifications for overall uniformity.
* Turn the office/room lights on * The AW3418HW is on * Unplug all/any video cable from the back of the AW3418HW. The AW3418HW enters its self-test mode * Press and hold Button 3 (Dark Stabilizer) for five seconds * A gray screen appears * Press Button 3 again * A red screen appears * Press Button 3 again * A green screen appears * Press Button 3 again * A blue screen appears * Press Button 3 again * A black screen appears * Press Button 3 again * A white screen appears * The test is complete when the white screen appears. To exit, press Button 3 again
Attached You can see the photos. I don't have a problem with uniformity, it's great [blb - back light bleed]. I have a problem with iPS glow, it's a phenomenon reduced by superior tech [e.g. by EiZO, NEC, or DELL some models]. I'm just comparing this one with Acer X34A, which is 3440 x 1440 LCD panel, which might be one of the main issues.
Also the fact that today all of my LCD panels went 200 - 250e down after barely 2 weeks after it's release didn't make me twice happy :/, I bought it for 1000e and now it costs 750 - 800e with VAT :(.
Nah, I'll let it go. I'll cut the foil and put the rest back into the plastic shell with iFixit plastic tool I have. I'll get used to the iPS glow and I'll deal with the price raise :/.
Thank You for Your help mate! I appreciate it a lot!
One last question. Do I need to register my LCD or something, in order to get the 3y warranty and nbd potential pickup service?

Your monitor looks great. Your call on if you want to exchange it due to the foil.

The photo is blurry on the "foil"?
Have you tried to gently pry the foil out with tweezers?
Why are you pressing the far left of the touch sensor? Why not the center of it?

If purchased directly from Dell, it is already registered to you. If not purchased from Dell, then see this.
