I am not seeing your pictures but do you have the PN556W or PN557W? Have you tried updating the drivers for the pen? I'm currently using Wacom's driver and have not had any issues so far.

Hello, it acts very weird for me as well. It just draws these lines while writing and or just stopps for 1cm to draw anything for a second here and there every word. Has anybody a solution? Thx and best regards

P.S. I updated all drivers, the bios and all there is. Installed the Wacom driver... still no success.

It would be best to try another wacom pen if anyone you know has one to double check that it's the pen not the laptop but generally speaking I would say it's the pen at fault for this type of issue.  I would ask for warranty replacement for the pen.

Did anyone get the solution for this problem?  I am having it happen all the time now.  Updated drivers and replaced battery but still skipping and lines will appear while writing as described in this thread.

Thank you

Same problem. Same Pen. Same Tablet. Any resolution?

Same Problem on a Dell Latitude 7275

Already tried with a different HP stylus and still the problem persists.
Tried running ubuntu and the problem is still present.

My problem is different, though. Once I lift the stylus about 1cm above the screen suddenly the cursor jumps to about .5 cm from the bottom of the screen and completely ignores the stylus Y axis position and hovers around the bottom on the x axis. Note that it always jumps to the bottom of the screen regardless of screen rotation, meaning that no matter my screen rotation, it will always jump towards the windows home button logo at the bottom of the screen.

I hope we could find the solution

I posted the problem back when the device still had warranty but never received a reply from Dell

Hi all, I have the same issue with my Dell PN305M Active pen. I have resolved it now hopefully it will work for you all too!

In your computer start search field type 'Calibrate' this should bring up 'Calibrate the screen for pen and touch input'--> click--> then click 'Calibrate...'--> follow on screen instructions ( you basically touch the screen where there are crosses)--> then click ok. This should resolve the issue.

If the problem arises again, do the above steps. If it does not work again instead click on 'Reset' instead of 'Calibrate...' and then just follow on with the on screen instructions. Hope this works for you all.

P.S. I would put on screenshots However I do not know how too.

@Digital_Artist
This is the problem I had with my 7275. I just purchased a new precision active pen and it was doing this exact thing. Drivers and updates and whatnot helped zero. The pen worked fine on my other PC in MPP mode. It’s a hardware problem. The thing that clued me was that it did the same thing on the BIOS screen.

solution: In my case, the docking magnets on the bottom of the tablet were interfering with the digitizer. I used some aluminum tape (for dryer ductwork, but not duct tape) to creat a shield between the magnets and the screen and it fixed it 100%. I used 3 layers of the tape to be sure, but the problem is gone now.

good luck.

I had a simmular course the laptop was standing infront of an Magnet. I moved it slightly now the Promlem is gone.

Can you elaborate on where exactly you put the tape?

Pretty much everywhere there were magnets. Bottom top and sides. I taped over the magnets. I had to get a new screen at one point and the magnets in that one were smaller, so Dell knew it was an issue.
