@TopM,

I was able to replicate the same blue screen a couple weeks ago so I'm now working the issue internally at this point. When I parsed out the dump file it showed Audiodg.exe as the 'problem file'.

Some customers have advised that they were able to work around the issue by either 1: Uninstalling the Realtek Audio driver and running on Windows base audio driver or 2: Downgrade any recent video driver updates.

I will update as soon as I know more.

@DELL-Justin C

Also relicated by the following situation:

2e screen attached on VGA

Do a nicely Fn + F8 (screens) , select "disconnect projector "  firts option, disconnect the VGA cable.

System will go inmediatly in bluescreen with apc_index_mismatch.

So it has somethin g to do with powermanagement either with audio or vga.

regards,

TopM

Happens now 5 times a day! Very annoying!

It has something to do when system has more to do; external screen, excel, outlook, bluetooth mouse.

I deleted the Dell Power applications but the result is the same. I still have BSOD apc_index_mismatch.

Maarten

Have a bunch of these E5470s running in the company and increasingly more and more are giving BSODs. Narrowed it down to power or video but still the issue is not resolvable by downgrading drivers. Dell please get into this asap.

Installing latest drivers of realtek should resolve the issue as happened in my case.

We had the same problem in three E5470. It only occurred when a VGA monitor was connected (in our case all Dell P2217H). Reverting to VGA driver 21.20.16.4627 solved the issue. All drivers after that have the same bug.

@Community,

I can confirm that the solution will come in the form of a Dell Audio driver update. I still have not been given approval to release even a rough ETA yet. I'll post back when I know more.

Hi - is there an update to the resolution timeline? Our organization is experiencing this fairly on E5270's.

@wookietv

Status update:

SOLVED: Latitude E7470 and E7270 - Audio Driver update released on 7/5

"- Fix intermittent BSOD issue when system is connected with EDock (Windows 7 only)"

I suspect that the below models will also get the same type of update in the near future. I will confirm and reply back when I know more.

-Optiplex 7040

-Precision 7510

-Precision 7710

-Latitude E5270

-Latitude E5470

I have a Dell E7470  and have been experiencing the same issue and it is getting very annoying to get the BSOD in the middle of working on a customer site. I just ran the Dell Support Assist 2 days ago and it also updated the BIOS but still experiencing the issue. I believe this laptop is still covered under warranty.

i've 10 E5470, all are up to date with the latest updates provide by DELL.

All have this issue.

For now, my only solution is to disable the Realtek sound driver in the device manager.
My users have no more sound but they don't have this BSOD anymore.

Now I'm waiting for new updates, from DELL in general or from Justin-C in particular.

*edit* @DELL-Justin C i've tried your solution, it doesn't work in my case.

@FREPRET,

If you removed the Realtek driver and are running off the base Windows driver and still have the same issue, you likely have a different cause of BSOD. Send me a PM with one of your service tags and we'll get a case started.

@Community,

The AudioDG.exe BSOD issue has bee identified as being caused by driver version .6122. So far I know the driver was shared between the below models and possibly more:

Optiplex 7040

Precision 7510

Precision 7710

Latitude E5270

Latitude E5470

Latitude E5570

Latitude E7470

Latitude E7270

 It has also been advised by customers that these models have the same audiodg.exe BSOD symptom.

The below models have received a new driver .6125 in order to resolve this audiodg.exe BSOD issue:

Latitude E7470

Latitude E7270

Dell is planning to test the .6125 in the models listed below. There's a strong possibility that the same driver will be released for the following affected models in the future:

Optiplex 7040

Precision 7510

Precision 7710

Latitude E5270

Latitude E5470

Latitude E5570

I will post back when I know more.

I am also interested in a fix for this issue. I have about 20 E5470s that need updates. I updated one and it now blue screens several times a day. gonna try installing a older version.
